Our tried and true tools for strategy building – past strategy and experience, data and analytics, even skilled facilitation – may not take us where we most want to go. Stepping into a future we actually want - societally, organizationally or personally - will require us to move beyond evidence and into the realm of imagination.
Drawing on 27 years of strategy facilitation in private, public, nonprofit and cross-sectoral settings, this professionally facilitated session will invite participants to consider the imagination imperative. Imagination has been given a bad rap. It is not just the territory of children (although we can likely learn something from their extensive practice at it)! It needs to be part of our adult toolbox, because we are more likely to physically create scenarios we have first mentally created in vivid detail. Imagination is something we need to grow into, not out of.
Imagination is also not primarily a solo activity. It is at its most powerful when it is done collectively.
If you want to add to your strategic planning toolkit, join us for a practical and engaging session on accessing the power of group-based imaginative thinking.
