Shannon Lechtenberg is the manager of corporate strategy and business improvement at Great River Energy.

Shannon is responsible for the development and execution of Great River Energy’s corporate strategic planning process including gathering stakeholder perspectives, feedback mechanisms on the plan, and other strategic activities such as scenario planning. She also manages the development and implementation of work planning processes and tools across the organization to support the execution of corporate and division strategic plans. In addition, Shannon also plans, leads, and facilitates annual strategic planning events for Great River Energy board of directors, member CEO’s, and senior staff, and for division and member strategic planning events as requested. Most recently, Shannon developed a director peer evaluation process to help improve board effectiveness.

Shannon also manages and leads Great River Energy’s culture of business improvement where agility, collaboration, and innovation drives the company’s commitment to continuous improvement.

Prior to joining Great River Energy, Shannon was the director of operations for Axia Strategies, a healthcare consulting firm. While at Axia, Shannon managed daily operations including financial, administrative and information technology. She successfully developed and planned several client symposium events and managed client portfolios for consultants.

Shannon earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Minnesota State University Mankato.
