Allison Green

Allison has worked in the non-profit space for 20 years. After graduating from Michigan State University with her BSW, Allison worked as an Americorps VISTA at the Center for Empowerment and Economic Development, which helped her decide to become a community social worker. Upon completing her degree from Wayne State University in Community Practice and Social Action, she worked in Hamtramck, providing basic needs to families through utilities and rent assistance, educational programming, community showers, and a food pantry. From there, she moved to Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency, where she worked in the Housing and Homeless Services Department for over ten years. She was a case manager, CoC Coordinator, and Program Manager then. She works as a Partner Training Support and Engagement Manager for the Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness (MCAH). At MCAH, Allison loved training those working to end homelessness across the state and participating in Michigan's Campaign to End Homelessness. Allison has two children, one who is completing the 1000 hours outside challenge and one who loves to climb anything in sight, which leaves her with no spare time!
