China Aquino, MPH, has nearly a decade of experience working in various social need systems. She brings experience from her time at a Community Action Agency where she managed federal and state-funded programs in a variety of fields. China began her career as a coordinator of nutrition programs including the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and the Afterschool Snack and Supper Program. In 2018, China began working in housing systems as the Assistant Director of Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) where she managed a program addressing Veteran homelessness in six counties. Concurrently, she served as a System Administrator for the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
China holds a BS in Health Sciences with a Concentration in Nutrition and a Master of Public Health degree, both from Oakland University. Her efforts at MCEDSV are currently focused on creating lasting change among all systems that impact survivors.
