Nichole Johnson
Nichole started her career in human services as a GSRP teacher where she worked for several years. After the funding for GSRP was cut she worked as a para-pro sub who worked with elementary and middle school aged children with special needs. Nichole then left the local school she worked for as a para-pro and accepted a position as a Direct Developmental Specialist at the Hope Network Day Center where she worked with adults with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnosis. For the last eight years Nichole has worked at Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency (NMCAA) in the HP department where she started out as a case manager/navigator (outreach worker). As a case manager Nichole worked directly with individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Around two years ago Nichole transitioned out of the case management position and is now serving as the Program Community Coordinator and Voucher lead for all 10 counties in region 2 of Michigan.
