Joseph Dobos teaches Instrumental Music Education at Wayne State University where he also directs the Student Teaching program. He was a high school band director for 40 years--most of which were at Lapeer East High School. He has presented clinics at the Midwestern Music Conference, the MMC, the DDD, the New England Band Conference, and the Chicago Midwest Clinic. A graduate of the University of Michigan, he studied with William Revelli and Elizabeth Green. He is active as a clinician and guest conductor. For the past 30 years, he has been a faculty member at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. He is a past recipient of the MSBOA Teacher of the Year award. He is active as a church organist.
