Rosalia earned undergraduate and graduate music degrees from Michigan State University and has been teaching in the Detroit area for over 20 years. She currently teaches elementary general music at Cranbrook Schools, Brookside in Bloomfield Hills, MI. In 2016 she was awarded a semester-long educational sabbatical, where she used the time to compose vocal art songs and compile a songbook for her school. In 2019, she was recognized as a SMART Exemplary Educator.

Having had the privilege of working with Edwin Gordon early in her career, Rosalia is rooted in the teachings of Music Learning Theory, but finds inspiration from the philosophies of Phyllis Weikart, Orff-Schulwerk, and Kodaly.
