Leah DuMouchel, AICP is Director of Programs and Communications for the Michigan Association of Planning. Her work implements MAP’s commitment to helping communities address Michigan’s housing shortage by removing zoning barriers, including MAP’s Zoning Reform Toolkit: 15 Tools to Expand Housing Choice + Supply, and its companion Zoning Reform Stories and Studies. She is the project manager for the Michigan Zoning MAP, an interactive, housing-focused map showing how zoning shapes housing development on a county-by-county basis. She also serves as MAP’s liaison to the 15 Regional Housing Partnerships created to implement the first-ever Statewide Housing Plan, and serves on her home region’s communication and education committee. In addition to housing, Leah’s work centers on coastal and environmental resiliency, planning education, and partnerships.
