Rob serves as the Real Estate Group Leader for Plante Moran and specializes in the firm’s Housing and Community Solutions Group. He is based in the East Lansing, Michigan and has over 25 years of public accounting and industry experience. His diversified experience includes providing audit, tax, and consulting services to a broad range of clients involved in various affordable housing and community development activities. He serves clients involved in many facets of the industry including corporate investors, tax credit syndicators, developers, management companies and community development entities.

His areas of specialization include low-income housing tax credits, new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation credits, and various affordable housing programs, including HUD and other government supported financing and subsidies. He is a recognized leader in the tax credit industry and is a common speaker at industry seminars.

Rob’s industry experience was obtained through his role as Director of Asset Management for a leading regional tax credit equity syndicator where he lead a team of professionals providing oversight to multiple investment funds invested in hundreds of multi-family real estate projects.

He is a board member for Michigan Housing Council and Habitat for Humanity Capital Region. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
