Jason L. Paulateer serves as Senior Vice President and Group Head of Community Development Finance for Fifth Third Bank. In this role he manages a team of committed Community Business Lenders within the Community Development Banking Group. This team works to provide banking services and financial solutions to non-profit organizations that provide community supportive services for low-to-middle income families.

Jason is a staunch advocate for Financial Education . He believes Matthew 25:23 “You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities” and that financial education is one of the keys to developing that faithfulness. He’s served as an evening volunteer facilitator of Financial Peace University for many years prior to marketing Fifth Third's robust financial education curriculum.

In 2022, he received the Terrance R. Duvernay Award at this conference, a pinnacle for any career in the affordable housing and community development industry.

In 2023, he received the Human Dignity Award from Embassy Community Development Corporation for his dedication to human dignity throughout his life and career.

Jason holds both BBA and MBA degrees from Grand Valley State University.
