Andy Martin is Vice President of MHT Housing, Inc. and for MHT’s affiliated CDFI entity, CORE Community Partners. In this role he is involved in future development and financing opportunities for MHT and oversees all activities related to CORE. Prior to joining MHT Housing, Andy was a Deputy Director and the Chief Housing Investment Officer for the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), where he was responsible for leading business development, for leading all of MSHDA’s multi-family housing development programs, including the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and MSHDA’s tax-exempt and taxable bond lending programs, oversight of the State Historic Preservation Office, and for leading
MSHDA’s neighborhood development programs. Previous to that, Andy was the Manager of MSHDA’s LIHTC program, where he was responsible for oversight of housing policies and the underwriting and processing of approximately $400 million worth of affordable multi-family housing transactions annually. Andy has a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from Central Michigan University.
