Name
Recognizing and Preventing Ethylene Damage in the Greenhouse
Date & Time
Wednesday, December 8, 2021, 9:00 AM - 9:50 AM
Description

Ethylene is a gas that is produced by plants and from the incomplete combustion of fuels like propane. Ethylene causes abnormal growth, leaf yellowing, and early flower death.  This problem can be difficult to diagnose and may lead to crop losses.  In this session, you will learn which plants are sensitive to ethylene, symptoms of ethylene damage, sources of ethylene, and what to do to prevent or remediate ethylene damage.  Dr. Jones often measures air samples for growers and will talk about how to collect and submit samples for testing.
