Description
In this session we will explore how the arrangement of content, topics, and images in school course materials communicates a worldview. As a test case, we will take a look at language textbooks from several different centuries and ask what story they are telling about the world through their choice and sequencing of topics, images, headings, and examples. We will draw some lessons from them about how faith relates to curriculum and how our curriculum tells a story about the world even when we are teaching specific subject content.
