AI in a Catholic School - Guidance and Policy. A Case Study.
Description
In the 2025-26 academic year, a group of educators in the Diocese of Saginaw created a committee to address the use of artificial intelligence in schools. The work of this committee focused on (1) guidance, (2) teacher use, (3) student use and (4) security. The committee included elementary, middle and high school teachers/educators, as well as a technology director and central office staff. Members of the committee are happy to share experience, learning and challenges with attendees. It is hoped that the session will be interactive and based on dialogue with all present. The goal of the session is to support schools moving through a similar process and/or to serve as a sounding board for a review of current practices within your school.
