Building for the Next Generation: A Mission-Driven Approach to Facility Projects
Description
Christian schools face the same facility challenges as publicly funded institutions, but with very different budgets. From older buildings to enrollment uncertainty to donor-funded capital campaigns, Christian school leaders carry a greater stewardship weight for every decision they make.
This session is designed to equip school leaders with a deeper understanding of what factors make the biggest impact when exploring capital projects, how to choose the right team early, and how the approach used and the decisions made early in the process often have the greatest impact on cost, design, schedule, future expansion, and long term sustainability.
Through practical examples and lessons learned from walking alongside Christian school leaders navigating mission-driven projects, Lakewood Construction and Architecture will share how early master planning, team alignment, and an integrated approach can help schools align vision, budget, and long-term impact. Rather than focusing on fundraising or capital campaign strategy, this session will equip leaders to ask the right questions, evaluate options more clearly, avoid costly assumptions, and approach capital planning with greater clarity, confidence, and wisdom for successful projects that serve both todays needs and tomorrows growth.
