Dr. Erin Rosskopf is the Microbiologist and Research Leader of the Citrus and Other Subtropical Products Research Unit at the US Horticultural Research Laboratory in Fort Pierce, FL. She earned her PhD in Plant Pathology from the University of Florida, working on weed biological control. She joined the USDA, ARS in 1997 and since that time has worked on both fumigant and non-fumigant approaches to managing soilborne plant pathogenic fungi, weeds, and nematodes as alternatives to soil applications of methyl bromide. She began work on anaerobic soil disinfestation in 2008 and has found it to be the most promising biologically-based alternative and continues to pursue optimization of this technique to. fit different cropping systems
