Neil grew up on a small beef farm in north central MN. He received his Bachelors and M.S. degrees at the University of Minnesota and his PhD at the University of California. Since 2007 Neil has served as a professor in Plant Science at Cornell University with a research/extension position in greenhouse crop production. Neil and his wife, Janelle, have 2 children.
