I have been with the Department of Agriculture for 6 years. I have been the Produce Safety Program Specialist since March 2020. Prior to taking this position I worked in the field as a Retail and Manufactured Foods Inspector as well as a Produce Farm Inspector. I worked for many years as a crop scout, identifying insect, disease, and cultural issues on commercial vegetable farms in Northeast Pa. I have also worked independently as a consultant helping farmers write food safety plans and prepare for GAP audits.
