Educators and professionals will learn to equip students with autism for employment by developing talents, understanding workplace culture, finding mentors, creating a portfolio and gaining self-efficacy. Sandison teaches practical ways to gradually prepare students to transition into the workplace and to transform specials interests into employment opportunities. He shares the four hindrances to ASD employment and ways to help students overcome them. Ron shares his own personal struggles with employment and how he was able to obtain gainful employment in the medical field and the knowledge he acquired from interviewing fifty students with autism while writing his fourth book.
