One of the most taxing parts of being a school administrator is managing difficult parent communications. These come in many forms today - emails, phone calls, public forums, social media posts - and managing them can derail you from a productive day of improving student achievement. Don�t Press Send Yet: Managing Parent Communications will review ways to respond effectively to angry parents and how to change your perspective on handling parent issues. In this session, participants will role play parent conversations, craft responses to emails, and discuss setting boundaries regarding parent communications. We will also review responding to parent concerns in public forums, such as parent meetings or social media posts.
