Description

Teacher "buy-in" and efficacy are essential to leading long-term change in schools. This session is for leaders who have embraced Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in their school(s) or those interested in exploring options for systematic implementation of UDL. Presenters will share strategies for UDL implementation work as well as examples of UDL implementation within a PreK-12 Catholic school community. This session will explore strategic ways to model UDL as a Catholic school leader while planning for and supporting teachers' implementation of UDL in classrooms. Participants will leave the session with ideas for how to module UDL for their school(s). Participants will explore steps for sustained implementation of UDL. Participants will consider options for connecting classroom observations to UDL implementation. 3 specific examples of UDL leadership focus areas with examples of implementation will be explored: Modeling UDL with meeting practices Planning for UDL implementation (PD) that models UDL Connecting classroom observations to UDL
