Description
Many forces at work in education and in the culture surrounding the hallowed ground of childhood development are wiring children for addiction and nervous system dysfunction rather than secure attachment. Chronic nervous system dysfunction in children and teenagers is leading to an unprecedented mental health crisis and poor outcomes in learning. Interpersonal neurobiology has revealed that social connection builds neuronal architecture in childhood and chronic stress and adverse childhood experiences break down neuronal connection. A focus on virtue education helps educators to concentrate social-emotional and neuroplasticity efforts and lean into classroom stress responses with Christs mercy for improved behavioral and learning outcomes.
