Description

Teaching students to improvise doesn't have to be scary- for you or for them! Life skills and music problem solving skills can be developed through the opportunities you give your students to improvise. Build strong, independently creative musicians by including improvisation in your orchestra classroom starting with beginners, and continuing all the way through middle and high school. Teaching improv can also improve your musician's intonation, rhythm, tone and ensemble skills. Best of all, you might discover hidden talents in students throughout your groups, and give new students an opportunity to shine on stage.
