Collaborative Intergenerational Experiences That Celebrate Life's Moments

Description
This session will focus around the creative process as well as share a final product/performance featuring high school and community women's choirs. Thematic programming, enrichment experience as well as a 20 minute program will be shared with the goal of demonstrating that the process and shared experiences preempt the end product.
Learning Objective 1
Attendees will see practical activities where the balance between teacher/conductor's desire to pay homage to the printed page with an understanding that when a singer feels safe to express their vulnerability the experience is deeper and more meaningful

Attendees will learn about thematic programming and how to utilize related enrichment experiences to deepen student understanding and musical ownership
Learning Objective 3
Attendees will hear from participating singers how the various experiences helped to mold their individual and collect performance of the music.
