My presentation will focus on a the sociology of SEL, my philosophy of SEL, and an SEL-based curriculum and pacing guide. The curriculum I have created focuses on building social skills, emotional intelligence, and creating learning experiences. My philosophy will include a critique and benefits of SEL. I will also elaborate on different sociological theories like Self-Determination and the Zone of Proximal Development, that are necessary to incorporate SEL.
