Music performance anxiety (MPA) affects many musicians of all ages, experience levels, identities, and personalities. In this session, we will explore common cognitive, physiological, and behavioral symptoms that manifest during performance situations. With unique MPA experiences for every individual, helping students to manage MPA can be very challenging. Based on psychology and music research, participants will learn about management techniques and tips for helping students successfully navigate through MPA experiences.
