A diverse artist in both viola and piano, Dr Alicia Marie Valoti (CMU) brings energy to the international music scene through performance, education and research. She holds degrees from McGill University, Rice University, il Conservatorio di Firenze “Luigi Cherubini”, la Scuola APM di Saluzzo and Stony Brook University. Additionally, Dr. Valoti studied at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, Indiana University and RNCM.
Ms. Valoti’s performances have been widely varied; as a pianist in Carnegie Hall, in orchestra in the Egyptian Teatro Gomhouria, as a viola recitalist at Mozarte Conservatorio in Quito, Ecuador and assisting in a music rehabilitation program in an Alaskan prison, for example.
