Mara D’Angelo is Acting Director of Sound Transit’s Community Development Office, leading a 10-person team responsible for redeveloping Sound Transit property as transit-oriented development; integrating real estate development with new transit stations; creating affordable housing in station areas; expanding economic development opportunities; and supporting equitable development outcomes. Mara worked previously as Director of Special Projects for Baltimore’s Department of Housing and Community Development, a Program Manager for Smart Growth America, and a Presidential Management Fellow for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Mara has a BA from Tufts University and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland.
