Ian Carlton, co-founder of MapCraft.io and Senior Economic Advisor at ECONorthwest, focuses on Equitable TOD policymaking, research, and implementation. Based in Portland, Oregon, Ian has worked with transit agencies, jurisdictions, federal departments, and NGOs to foster TOD. As a former real estate investor, Ian helps policymakers and stakeholders understand the complex and context-specific factors that influence real estate development, particularly Equitable TOD. He is an adjunct professor of real estate development in Oregon and a member of ULI’s National TOD Council. Ian is passionate about helping people make informed choices and fully implementing their equitable urban visions.
