David Goodman has more than 25 years’ experience in both the private and public sectors as an architect, urban designer and educator, with over 15 years as a specialist in bicycle and pedestrian planning and design. Before joining Jacobs, David worked for Fairfax County VA, helping guide the redevelopment of Reston and Tysons. Prior to that, David managed Arlington County VA’s award-winning bicycle and pedestrian programs, where he functioned as their in-house resource for the design of cost-effective public infrastructure that focused on pedestrian safety and low-stress bicycling networks. David cares deeply about how the design of public space affects people’s behavior and continues to advocate for thoughtful design at all scales.
David has a B-Arch from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and an M-Arch from the University of Miami.
