Allison Mannos (for verbal introductions, pronounced: “Man-nis”) joined the Metro Office of Equity & Race as Senior Manager in late 2023, bringing 15 years of experience in transportation/sustainability policy, communications, and equity. She currently leads implementing the CBO Partnering Strategy, Advisory Body Compensation Policy, staff equity trainings, contract solicitations and managing consultants, and supporting staff on community engagement projects.

Before Metro, Allison led equity focused sustainability policy development, equity frameworks, community engagement, facilitation, and marketing efforts as a consultant, in non-profits, and in government. She has worked for non-profits such as Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy, Bike LA, and National Immigration Law Center, and in government and consulting at Clean Power Alliance and InterEthnica. She co-founded and served on the boards for People for Mobility Justice and Ciclavia. She was appointed to South Coast Air Quality Management District’s Hearing Board Advisory Committee by Councilwoman Nithya Raman.

She earned her Bachelors’ Degree in Asian American Studies and Urban Planning from UCLA and was an adjunct professor of Public Relations at East Los Angeles College. She is a second generation Angeleno of Chinese and Jewish descent.
