Speaker Bio
Anna is a Partner and Senior Project Director at Gehl where she leads Gehl’s US partnerships in the public sector. Specializing in public realm action plans and design for the transit environment, Anna sees street culture and shared mobility as the building  blocks to healthy, vibrant public life in cities. She leverages expertise in evidence-based storytelling and creative engagement to translate community voice and behavioral insights into design principles that prioritize a high-quality everyday experience for people.
After a career in public art in New York City, Anna joined Gehl where she brings 15 years of experience leading complex processes with multiple stakeholders to deliver transformational urban projects. A skilled listener and facilitator, Anna has experience leading design and urban integration for new light rail stations in Austin, TX to microclimate-oriented design for catalytic routes in Houston’s similarly historic downtown core. While living in the Bay Area, Anna led several projects focused on advancing placemaking and long-term urban design while engaging empathetically yet effectively with homeless populations and people in crisis.
She holds a Master in City Planning from MIT. Before Gehl, she worked at Forecast Public Artworks, founded a public art nonprofit focused on light-based artwork, and served on the board of Brooklyn's Green Hill Food Cooperative.
