Matt is a principal structural engineer and North America Buildings Practice Lead at Mott MacDonald with 18 years’ experience in the building industry. Matt has international experience on metro projects, having worked on Crossrail and Northern Line extension in the UK, Dublin Metro in Ireland, BART Phase II in California and Broadway Subway and Surrey Langley SkyTrain in Vancouver, Canada. Matt is currently leading the engineering design of the transit-oriented communities for the Ontario Line in Toronto, Canada and was peer reviewer for the TOCs on the Scarborough Line in Toronto. He is committed to advancing team collaboration and digital design technology on Transit Oriented Development projects in order to drive efficient, adaptable and sustainable designs.
Matt presented on TOCs at the MPACT conference in Philadelphia in 2024 and Council of Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat in Chicago in 2023. Prior to this he presented on structural engineering topics at Autodesk University in 2016 and 2019.
