Jordan Riesenberg has served as an economist at the U.S. Department of Transportation within the Office of the Secretary of Transportation since November 2016. His policy focus areas cover a variety of modes, including transit, passenger rail, and highways, as well as the linkages among transportation, housing, and land use. He also leads the development of key departmental guidance documents, including DOT's Benefit-Cost Analysis for Discretionary Grant Programs.

Mr. Riesenberg holds a B.S. in Economics with a Mathematical Emphasis from the University of Wisconsin. His prior experience has included positions in non-profit, private sector, and consulting roles, including work supporting California's high-speed rail program as well as housing and land use policy in California.
