Tim Bates is a planner and project manager in Sound Transit's Community Development Office. In this capacity, he serves as a TOD subject matter expert to transit capital projects, leads TOD implementation projects, and helps shape the agency's Joint Development program and practice. He also has experience leading station area planning efforts at Sound Transit and has worked at the local and regional levels to plan for productive transit corridors, improve multimodal connections to transit, and shape policies that support transit-oriented communities.
