Educationally, I have been trained in interior design, architecture, urban design, and city/regional planning. I bring these perspectives together in my role as Perkins&Will's Global Urban Design Practice Chair - where I work with communities, our clients, and our teams across the global to strategize, plan, and design more equitable, connected, mobile, and experiential places.

Typically, I participate in large multi-disciplinary teams working to develop complex plans for neighborhoods, downtowns, districts, and corridors - places where mobility, transit, and streets are the fundamental structure for complete communities. In my role, I spend a majority of my time consensus building and working to ideate with large teams to bring ideas together. Hence, the role I'm proposing for myself as a convenor of an ideas exchange.
