On paper I’m an urban planner and an urban designer that leads a formal Placemaking practice for a large firm in Canada. But in reality, I’m still a child running in different directions, always trying to connect things, understand things, and enable things. That brings us to TOD, which – you guessed it – requires you to understand things, connect things, and enable things. I never am content with run-of-the mill, boring solutions; I’m constantly bugging my team with questions like: “Who’s the user?”, “What value are we creating for them?”, “How is this place we’re creating meaningful for them?” “How are people going to behave in that space” and so on. To answer these questions, I have constant arguments in my head that no one really has seen – until this PK Slam, where I will unveil them!
