Guy Benn is a commercial real estate professional based in Portland, Oregon, responsible for managing TriMet’s TOD program. Originally from the UK, Guy has a Master’s in Real Estate and started his career in London working in brokerage. Before moving with his family to Portland in 2019, Guy spent 11 years in New York working on a wide range of investment and development projects across the US for foreign clients. He also established the US platform for The Collective, a sector-defining co-living developer based out of London with projects in the UK, Ireland, Germany, and the US. Guy led The Collective in its projects in New York, Boston, and Chicago before joining TriMet in 2020 to re-establish its TOD program and build its project pipeline.
Guy is passionate about the built environment and the opportunity TOD offers to provide sustainable housing models and create economic and social opportunities. He shares TriMet’s goal to create stronger communities and destinations around transit by building partnerships that can deliver thoughtful, creative, and appealing projects that promote inclusion, opportunity, and the environment.
