Dušan Pavlović has worked with the Los Angeles Office of the County Counsel since 2005. He is Senior Deputy County Counsel, working in the Affirmative Litigation and Consumer Protection Division, and acting as lead for the Consumer Protection and Neighborhood Enforcement Team. He represents the County in prosecution of civil actions including code enforcement, public nuisance laws, and receiverships, as well as in defense of civil actions and writ proceedings in state and federal courts. Dušan has argued in appellate courts and assisted in preparation of amicus curiae briefs. In addition, Dušan lectures at conferences and trains code and law enforcement officers on nuisance abatement laws, execution of inspection warrants, and other legal matters. He works with court-appointed receivers on receivership cases and with the court system to utilize the receivership remedy when appropriate to remediate nuisance properties. During his years with the County Counsel, he has received the POALAC Centurion Award for work on a narcotics abatement case and a commendation scroll from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for work in a lead contamination case. Prior to working with Los Angeles County, Dušan worked for the Office of the City Attorney in Santa Barbara.

Dušan completed his undergraduate work at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas before earning his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law. He has Bar admissions from the California State Bar, the Texas State Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Supreme Court. In addition to legal practice, Dušan is a licensed real estate Broker in California.
