Why do PEOPLE with lived experience share their experiences with focus groups and sit on committees? Each person who shares has a purpose and vision for what their input can produce, change, and influence. The purpose of this presentation is to help the State of Michigan to work with PEOPLE with lived experience in a way that aligns with the individual’s purpose, talents, skills, knowledge, and abilities. To bring a balance of outcomes for those who share and those who ask. To create a collaboration of shared space and power. To achieve a mutual goal….to end homelessness.
