The training focuses on strengthening direct care professionals' understanding of trauma informed care to improve service outcomes for persons experiencing homelessness. Participants will expand their understanding of trauma, toxic stress, ACE’s and its impact on a persons physical, mental and emotional well-being, brain development and coping strategies. Participants will gain a deeper comprehension of the importance of early intervention and mitigation of traumatic experiences. Participants will leave with practical tips and strategies that can immediately be implement in their work with persons who have experienced trauma.
