We’re Serving the Same Folx: What Homeless Service Providers Can Learn from the Domestic Violence Movement’s Trauma-informed Care Model
Description

Domestic and sexual violence are the leading cause of homelessness for women and children. Despite this overlap in population, housing and domestic violence services are siloed on a local and federal level. The purpose of this session is to bridge this gap and share best practices in trauma-informed care from the domestic violence movement. Participants will learn about survivor-centered, intersectional, and trauma-informed approaches to client service that can be used to improve housing policies/procedures, staff training, and case management.
