Heather VanDenburg
Heather VanDenburg is a dedicated professional with over a decade of experience in the homeless services sector. As Shelter Manager at MCREST, she leads with compassion and strategic insight, developing trauma-informed policies, managing budgets, and fostering partnerships with community organizations to enhance service delivery. Heather holds a B.A. in Social Work from Oakland University. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Macomb County Continuum of Care, where she previously held the role of Vice President. In this capacity, she co-chairs the Advocacy and Awareness Committee and the Equity CERT Committee, championing inclusive and equitable practices across the continuum. Heather is an active member of the Michigan Homeless Policy Council and contributes to the Homeless Summit Planning and Content Committees. Her work reflects a deep commitment to advocacy, collaboration, and continuous improvement in support of vulnerable populations.
