• Karen Wanza (she/her) a current Avalon (PSH) tenant who serves on the Community Leadership Council and is a member of Avalon Housing’s VOCAL (Voices of Community Advocates and Leaders) group. She has a MA and JD having worked in the areas of both constitutional and international law. Karen also has a background in medical sociology. In addition to her work with Avalon, Karen takes part in several committees focusing on Housing/Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder, including sitting on the City of Ann Arbor’s Housing and Human Services Advisory Board. In her free time she enjoys cooking and photography.
