This presentation covers foundational elements of McKinney‑Vento Homeless Education, including definitions, student protections, statewide data, and how to connect with local liaisons and regional supports. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the resources and structures that help Michigan students experiencing homelessness succeed in school. In addition, presenters will discuss the critical partnership between homeless service providers and school districts. Presenters will share ideas on how to effectively communicate available supports, and strengthen collaboration to ensure students and families receive consistent, informed assistance.
