Name
The Benefits of Extended Services for Youth Who Have Runaway or Experienced Homelessness
Description
The impact of state-funded shelter, crisis intervention and supportive services on youth who have runaway or are experiencing homelessness is hindered by administrative time limits. Often, the serious and complex needs of youth and their families are not able to be fully resolved in the current timeframes and results in repeated cycles of homelessness. This session covers the findings and recommendations from a four-agency pilot study of the impact of extended service provision for youth who have runaway or are experiencing homelessness in Michigan.
