Incremental Development Using Land Banks and Housing Subsidy TIF
A new combination of process and tools has recently been discovered for subsidizing affordable housing – Redevelopment TIF. Working with land bank-owned properties and redevelopment authorities, tax increment revenue is available to cover subsidies. This approach works especially well at small-scale, neighborhood level and is a key element of the growing Incremental Development movement. This session will present the model for using Act 381 TIF for Housing Subsidy, experience and activity to-date in local areas, and allow for Q&A time with the audience.
