Description

Where you live undeniably determines the opportunities you have access to, including education, employment, health care, transportation, green space, and much more. Where you live also directly impacts how you live – as many of us are experiencing as we spend more time at home. As we come to understand more about these connections, it seems that the stakes for equal housing opportunity have never been higher. This session will include an overview of fair housing trends and concerns related to the pandemic as well as an update on fair housing laws. Topics to be covered during this session include best practice information and tools regarding fair housing in advertising, eligibility, occupancy standards, and disability protections. Content will be geared toward fair housing compliance but will be helpful to advocates as well as housing professionals.

This session offers NASW credits
