Chad Benson is the Director of Development for the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), where he has been instrumental in the creation and preservation of affordable housing across Michigan. Chad leads the Rental Development division, overseeing affordable housing investments across the state. His responsibilities include managing the underwriting and selection of complex multifamily developments, guiding statewide housing policy through Michigan’s Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP), and supporting the creation of new housing initiatives that advance MSHDA’s development goals.
