Jeremy was born and raised in Grand Haven, moving with his family to Arizona at 16 years old. He finished up high school, graduating in 1999. From there he attended Chandler-Gilbert Community College and finished up his studies at Arizona State University, where he majored in Elementary Education. While attending school, he had the opportunity to continue his career path with the retail pool store he worked at through college, Paddock Pools. He continued my raise within the company, up to managing multiple stores and continuing his efforts to plan and open new locations across the Phoenix and Las Vegas metro areas. In 2006, he had the opportunity to move back “home” to Michigan and jumped at it. Once he “boomeranged” back home, he took a position with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and worked my way up to Manager of the Enterprise, National, and Alamo car rentals in Lansing’s airport area. He was commuting over 95 miles each way from Grand Haven each day, and that became too much after 10 years. While he enjoyed what he was doing, he also wanted to have more of a community impact where he lived. When the opportunity arose for my current position, I jumped at it with all he had. The chance to positively impact my community and use my skills built in over 20 years of management, relationship building, and retail experience outweighed any potential negatives. Today, he still learns more about my role every day. And that is a great thing. The quest to be better. The quest to better my community. They drive him. And so does knowing how he positively impacts Grand Haven each day in what he do. “I truly love what I do!”
